Netscope — Privacy Policy

Netscope is a browser extension for inspecting and simulating a web page's network requests. This policy explains what it does and does not do with your data.

What Netscope accesses

When you enable capture (it is OFF by default), Netscope observes network requests made by the pages you turn it on for — including URLs, methods, headers, status codes, timing, and request/response bodies — so it can display and analyze them.

Where your data goes

• All captured request data stays local to your browser. It is held in memory and in the extension's local storage on your device.
• Netscope does not transmit your captured data, browsing history, or settings to the developer or any third party.
• We (the developer) do not collect, receive, or have any access to your data.

Your controls

• Capture is opt-in: nothing is recorded until you press Start.
• You can pause capture and skip specific sites at any time.
• You can clear the captured log at any time.
• Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

Optional integrations

If a future version lets you connect a third-party AI provider with your own API key, that key is stored locally on your device and requests are sent directly from your browser to the provider you choose, governed by that provider's privacy policy. This version does not include that feature.

Permissions

Netscope requests only the permissions needed to observe and simulate requests on the sites you enable. It does not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.
